Join us for a series of inspiring talks and activities across disciplines that will challenge conventional notions of knowledge. In the conference we will explore innovative ways of working with cultural expressions, projects, archives and collections as tools for sharing and collaborating.

Ramesch Daha and Helene Larsson Pousette come together to discuss the writing of history, focusing on the role and visibility of women. When history has been written, certain information has been considered irrelevant and the construction of the past has excluded many stories from the official narrative.

Arabiska Teatern har gjort nio korta filmer om Agenda 2030, FN:s globala mål som bland annat tar upp kvinnors rättigheter. Nu bjuder vi in till en visning av två av dessa filmer, med fokus på kvinnors situation. Efter filmvisningen hålls ett samtal om vad som gestaltas i filmerna, varför och hur.

In everyday work, museums often face ethical questions and challenges: in contact with informants; in the handling of artefacts, narratives and presentations. What ethical issues do the museums encounter in relation to registration and presentation of historical material, of difficult and personal stories? Meet Kathrin Pabst, Armando Perla and Anna Ulfstrand in conversation with Helene Larsson Pousette, Stockholm Museum of Women’s History.

Whose stories are being told – and whose are being left out – as our cities continue to grow? Herstory wants to visualize immigrant women’s hidden and forgotten role in building and shaping the Swedish society. Parvin Ardalan, feminist activist, is visiting us to talk about their work. (The lecture will be held in English).
